So today is my first cheat day and I weighed-in this morning and I lost 5.5lbs on cycle 2; 3.3lbs was from what I had gained during my cheat days and I lost another 2.2Lbs which is in line with most people's loss for cycle 2. I am so happy, I am watching myself shrink and I just LOVE it!! A lot of my clothes are already too big. I am just 4lbs away from my first 20lbs loss and I can't wait. I am so excited can't wait to start cycle 3. This diet is the BOMB!!!!! I will be sure to be very careful on my 3 cheat days this time around because 3.3lbs is way too much. Will check in again on Monday and let you know how I did on my cheat days.

Re: Cycle 3

Hey it's day 3 of cycle 3 and I am doing really well. Over my cheat days I put on 2.2Lbs (not bad) and by this morning I have already lost it. So I am on track. I am hoping to lose at least another 7lbs on this cycle. I am really revving up my cardio to help speed the weight loss along and I think that's the problem with my cheat days-I don't really exercise on the weekends which is when my cheat days fall and this is why by Monday morning I have gained weight. I think if I exercise on Saturday and Sunday like I do from Monday-Friday I will not gain weight on my cheat days. That's a theory I plan to test next cheat days which is 2 weekends from now. I am certain once I reach my weight goal I will be able to maintain it. How? EXERCISE!! When I go back to eating almost normally (no stuffing myself and missing meals) and I exercise everyday I will burn the calories to maintain my weight. But I'm getting ahead of myself-I need to reach that bridge first and then cross it.
I will check in again later this week after I weigh-in again.

So today is the day after my 3rd cycle has ended and I am down a total of 20.5lbs (15.5lbs from this diet) and a total of 14" lost all over. I am very happy! I am on the right track. Today is the start of my cheat days but I will be taking a week's break from this diet for several reason, most importantly bcuz it's the week b4 the end of the month and finances are not great so I'll eat what I have and do more exercise and see what happens by the end of the week next week. I am also a bit tired of the retriction plus I am feeling a bit low on energy and irritable so I'm thinking maybe I'm not getting enough calories. Anyway I am taking a short break and will report next Friday as to what the week produced.

Hi All,

I'm so glad you guys have kept up the thread in the past couple of months. I totally fell off the wagon and haven't followed the plan but now I'm back and ready to start again. I have maintained my inital 5 pound loss but that's it.

Championgod and lilpeanut - you two are doing great! 20 pounds WOW!!!!! Truly motivating for me.

I'm hoping starting a cycle during the week of Halloween won't be the kiss of death but I was ready to start so I went ahead. We are really busy this weekend so I'm hoping I won't have much time to chow on the Halloween candy. I'll just have to put it out of sight. Out of sight out of mind usually works for me, so here's to hopeful thinking!

I'm going to consider this cycle 2 since I only made it to day 5 on my last cycle 2. :(
So day 1 cycle 2.

Hey Kelly,

It's good to have some company up in here. Now I have someone to reply to. I am behind you 100%, you can do it. Everyone is amazed at how much slimmer I am so fast. My size 10 clothes are now too big and I am so happy I could skip. my first goal is 150lbs like you. I am 9.5lbs away. I am presently in the middle of my one week break but I already have my cycle 4 menu which I will start next Monday. So far though I have not gained any weight so that's good. I am really hoping that by the start of cycle 4 I would have lost some more. I am sticking to eating every 3 hours so I eat at the same times as on the diet and only until full and for the most part I am staying away from the trouble foods, although I did have pasta both Saturday and Sunday. Although my meals consist of all sorts of stuff that weren't on any menu I've had so far, I think I am doing good. This week is like a test to see what will happen when I reach my weight goal and come off the diet altogether. I am exercising more to compensate for the increase in calories which I am sure will happen this week. Instead of 45 minutes of brisk walking with running intervals I am doing 80 mintues very brisk walking with more running intervals that way I will burn off any extra calories. So this is putting my theory to the test.

Will keep you posted and you keep me posted too.
BTW where is Lilpeanut and Lin, you guys haven't checked-in in a while, need to know how you're doing.

Well I'm back. My one week turned into 2 because last week had too many holiday activities for me so I thought it best to start this week. So I have started Cycle 4 today. For the 2 weeks I gained no weight even though I ate all kinds of stuff but I kept to the same principles for the most part. I didn't lose any weight but at least I know maintenance is no problem. Eveyone is telling me how great I look, how much I look like my old self again and then they tell me I shouldn't lose anymore but of course I am not listening to them. I want to lose another 30Lbs but my first goal is another 10lbs which would bring me down to 149lbs then I'll re-asses my goal but I really do want to get down to 130Lbs. So how is eveyone else doing? Where's all the progress reports?

Re: Can a new mother use this diet??

Postby championingod on Mon Nov 09, 2009 4:36 pm

hey guys, I hope someone will answer this question for me. I have a friend who has an 8 month old baby and he is still breast-feeding, can she use this diet? She really wants to start especially since she's seen how fast I lost the weight but we are both worried about the fact that the baby is still breastfeed, you think it will be a problem?

Congrats on the maintaining ChampionGod, sometimes that's the hardest part!

I did pretty decent last cycle lost 5 pounds. Feel really good about it and my clothes already feel better. I went a little crazy with the Halloween candy this past Sat. It was a cheat day but I think I went over the top. Anyway, I'm a pound up from Friday which I know will come off. Looking forward to losing another few pounds this cycle, crossing my fingers!

As far as the breast feeding friend trying this diet, I would say no. My personal opinion. Babies need all of the food groups and I think this diet would be too restrictive in the breads/whole grain category. Plus, the fruit only day I can't imagine would be good for her or the baby. My advice to the friend would be to google "how many calories can a breastfeeding mom eat?" I found a lot of good websites when I did. I would think if she cut back on her calories a little and ate a well balanced diet she could lose a few pounds. Once she is done breastfeeding, then she can start up on this diet. It's tough to be post pregnancy b/c all you want to do is get your old body back. But giving her child the best nutrition is the most important right now and I'm guessing she already knows that if she has stuck out breastfeeding for eight months. I couldn't last that long, I was a whimp!

On to day three of cycle three. I hated fruit day yesterday. I had to keep chanting to myself "its only one day." Happy to be having eggs and sausage today! Have a great week.

Thanks for the reply Kelly. We did end up checking out some websites about calories for a breastfeeding mother but in the end she decided she would try one cycle and watch it carefully to make sure her milk supply is not reduced. Her eating habits at the moment aren't all that great anyway-she doesn't eat regularly-maybe 2 meals a day will lots of tea in between so I figure this diet might actually be a good thing. Anyway she's going to do a very careful try and any sign of problems for the baby, she will stop.

I am so glad to hear you've lost 5lbs YAY! for you. I am on day 2-the dreaded fruit day but I'm going to go through it because I am looking at my pants that's nearly falling off (it now fits on my hips instead of my waist) and I know it's worth it. I can't wait until I lose another 10lbs.

For the 2 weeks I was off the diet I missed seeing the scale go down every week and I missed having my clothes fit even more loose than they did the week before.

Keep up the good work Kelly and keep me posted and I'll keep you posted.
